Barbara J. (Focht) Wright

Barbara J. (Focht) Wright, 79, of Birdsboro, PA passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Penn State Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late James M. and the late Margaret G. (Babb) Focht. She was predeceased by her husband of 54yrs., Gerald L. Wright.

Barbara worked most of her life as an LPN for St. Joseph’s Hospital and Wernersville State Hospital.

Barbara enjoyed 24yrs with her late husband and her family at their Cape May beach house home away from home. She loved her Wildwood Days on the boardwalk and riding the Tram-Car. She enjoyed reading a good book, listening to music and puzzle books. She was a member of Immaculate Conception BVM RC Church where she was also a member of the Women’s Society and the Church Choir.

Barbara will be remembered as being a kind, thoughtful, and loving person.

Surviving Barbara is her son: Christopher Wright; 2 daughters: Amy Beth Gulla, wife of Michael, Elizabeth Wright-Drabinsky, wife of Robert; brother: James Focht; sister: Catherine Christian; and 1 grandson: Aaron Gulla.

She was predeceased by her sister: Grace Rogers

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception BVMRC Church, 905 Chestnut St. Douglassville, PA 19518. A viewing will be from 8:30am-10:00am prior to Mass at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park in Reiffton, PA.
