Betty J. (Hartman) Burkhart

Betty J. (Hartman) Burkhart, 77, of Amity Twp., PA, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Complete Care at Berkshire Center. Born in Pottstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and the late Mary J. (Emore) Hartman. She was the loving wife of Herbert H. Burkhart.

Betty was employed as a controller for Vision Audi Car Dealership. She was a great seamstress, she loved crochet and making clothing. Betty was also a very good cook and baker. She was very knowledgeable with jewelry and was extremely generous and caring.

In addition to her husband, Herbert, she is survived by her 2 sons: Brian Rutkowski, husband of Ginger and Scott Rutkowski, husband of Cindy; step-son: Michael Burkhart, husband of Pam; step-daughter: Brenda McAuley, wife of Sal; brother: Joe Hartman; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 10:00AM at the Dengler-Sowers Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A visitation will be held from 9:00AM-10:00AM prior to the service.
