Betty P. (Uren) Staffieri

Betty P. (Uren) Staffieri, 96, of Warwick Twp., Chester Co., PA passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026 comfortably in her home. Born in Newport Twp., Luzerne Co., PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and the late Mary (Hopper) Uren. She was the widow of John E. Michalski and Michael Staffieri.

Betty led a full and happy life. She especially enjoyed family functions including weddings, bridal and baby showers, holiday dinners and family vacations together. In her free time her passion was crocheting and she made many gifts of blankets, scarves and kitchen towels for family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling both domestically and internationally with her friend Rachel and her husband Mike. Betty retired from Perkin Elmer, formerly Princeton Applied Research, as an Administrative Assistant.

She is survived by her daughter: Mary E. Newnam, wife of Ted; 3 grandchildren: Alane Bruns (husband Brian), Jenni Glick (husband Steve), and Thomas Watson (widower of Alana); 5 great grandchildren: Kyle and Evan Bruns, Madeline and Sadie Glick, and Jackson Watson; daughter-in-law: Lorraine Freese and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Betty was predeceased by her son: John D. Michalski; brother: Donald Uren; and sisters: Harriet Belles and Dorothy Yarmol.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Dengler-Sowers Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC., 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A visitation will be held prior from 1:30pm-2:00pm
