Beverly I. (Spohn) Strunk

Beverly I. (Spohn) Strunk, 91, of Alsace Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Tower Health Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA. Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph R. Spohn, Sr. and the late Katie (Weikel) Spohn. She was the widow of Russell A. Strunk, Sr. and was predeceased by her brother Joseph R. Spohn, Jr. and sister, Elizabeth (Spohn) Livinghouse.

Beverly worked for Container Corp., Mrs. Smith’s Pies and Star Motors. Over the years she enjoyed fishing with her family, horseback riding and showing horses at the Devon Horse Show. She is also known as the 1966 Powder Puff Demolition Derby Winner at the Reading Fairgrounds, and is recognized at the Reading Fairgrounds Historical Society.

Beverly was passionate about her gardening and was well known for her love of animals. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Beverly is survived by her children: two sons, Russell A. Strunk, husband of Lorraine (Coveleski) Strunk, and Randall S. Strunk; and one daughter, Deborah (Strunk) Beekley, widow of Wayne Beekley. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Michael Strunk, husband of Christina (Sammons) Strunk, Wayne Beekley, husband of Melissa (Maturi) Beekley, and Jodi Beekley; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
