Bruce A. Hoffman, 98, of Birdsboro, PA passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026, in the comfort of his home. A lifelong resident of Birdsboro, born on East 1st Street, the son of the late Bruce P. and the late Mildred (Waughtel) Hoffman. He was married on August 27, 1955 to his wife, Mary Ann (Koch) Hoffman.
Bruce graduated from Birdsboro High School, Class of 1946. He then graduated from Temple University. Bruce served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army Medical Corp. during the Korean War. He was a Hospital Pharmacist in Bremerhaven, Germany.
Bruce was a third-generation Pharmacist, owning and operating Hoffman’s Drug Store on N. Furnace St. in Birdsboro. He was a member of the former Birdsboro Lions Club, American Legion Post 626, and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Bruce was sworn in by the Borough as the Historian of Birdsboro and was the author of the Forge & Foundry Series- The History of Birdsboro.
In addition to his wife, Bruce is survived by several cousins
Burial will be private in the Birdsboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boone Area Library, 129 N. Mill Street Birdsboro, PA 19508.
