Christopher, “Chris” W. Owens, 59, of Douglassville, PA passed away on November 7th, 2025 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late John C. and Francine A. (Wichlacz) Owens. He was the loving husband of Angela S. (Grillo) Owens.
Chris worked for Comcast for 20 years, and most recently, he managed his own business providing life insurance and annuity services.
He enjoyed playing golf, watching football, and listening to music. Chris loved the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed family vacations to the beaches along the East Coast, trips to see the Irish in South Bend, and recent trips to the Florida west coast. Chris also enjoyed the camaraderie he shared with his dart league friends on Thursday nights.
Anyone who knew Chris would agree that he loved to have fun, was easy to talk to, and could always make you laugh with his great sense of humor.
Surviving Chris, along with his wife of 30 years, Angela, are his son and daughter: Ryan Christopher Owens of Philadelphia, PA, and Carlie Elizabeth Owens of West Lawn, PA; his mother, Francine A. Owens; 3 Brothers: Eric Owens, husband of Maren of Douglassville, PA, Michael Owens, husband of Jacquline of Coopersburg, PA, and David Owens, husband of Melissa of Sinking Spring, PA; Sister: Jaclyn Owens of Birdsboro, PA.
Chris was predeceased by his father, Jack, and his sister, Kelly Jones.
Services and a Celebration of Life will be on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:30am at Glad Tidings Church, 1110 Snyder Road Reading, PA 19609. A Visitation will be from 9-11:30am, with the service immediately following.
