Dorothy Deam Thomson, of Palm City, Florida, died on October 13, 2025, at the age of 95. She was born in Reading, Pa. on February 2, 1930, to Harry and Florence Deam of Birdsboro, PA.
She graduated from Albright College in Reading in 1952 and worked as a librarian and substitute teacher. She moved to Stuart in 1979 and to Palm City in 1999. She was a regular volunteer at the Blake Library and the Cummings Library from 1992 to 2015. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palm City and a long-time member of The Martin County Golf and Country Club.
Survivors include her son, Stephen Gatter and his wife Harriet of Charlotte, NC and daughter-in-law Joan Gatter of Kennett Square, Pa. and three grandchildren Courtney, Kristin, and Evan Gatter.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Birdsboro Cemetery.
