Elsie (Eshelman) Tagg

Elsie (Eshelman) Tagg, 90, of Sellersville, PA passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Penn Medicine-Doylestown Hospital. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Scott and the late Mary (Kramer) Eshelman. She was the wife of W. Scott Tagg. Married June 15, 1957 (68 years) shortly after they graduated from Penn State.

Elsie had several careers in her life. She was a Real Estate Agent since 1975, owned and operated her own antique shop, Factory Antiques in Silverdale, PA. since 2001. She was a Field Enumerator for the National Agricultural Statistics Service 1989-2022. A PA Dutch Heritage Craft Exhibitor at the Kutztown Folk Festival 1977-1984. A Home Economist for Penn State Cooperative Extension 1958-1968 and was a judge for state fairs. Elsie raised and trained basset hounds and was past president the Basset Hound Club of America. She was past president and State/District Officer for the Perkasie Women’s Club and past Director of the Hilltown Historical Society. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, crafting, sewing, quilting, horse riding and puzzles.

In addition to her husband, Scott, Elsie is survived by her son: Thane Tagg and grandson: Thane Tagg, Jr.

She is predeceased by her brother: Harvey Eshelman and sisters: Mary Alice Gregory and Alma Cook.

A graveside service will be held at Robeson Cemetery, 3520 Morgantown Rd. Mohnton, PA 19540 (Plowville) on Tuesday April, 7, 2026 at 1:00pm.

We will also be having a Celebration of Life at The Factory Antiques, Silverdale, PA on April 29th at 4pm.
