Evelyn "Dolly" L. (Quinter) Brown

Evelyn L. “Dolly” (Quinter) Brown, 92, formerly of Gibraltar, PA passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Birdsboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur S. and the late Thelma M. (Kohl) Quinter. She was the widow of Curtis L. Brown Sr., they were married for 62yrs. before his passing in 2023.

Dolly worked most of her life as a waitress for Fegley’s Restaurant and Mountain Springs. She also was a welder for Birdsboro Steel. She was a member of the Birdsboro Sportsmen’s Club, Birdsboro VFW Post 411, and St. John’s U.C.C in Gibraltar. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends.

Dolly is survived by her son: Curtis L. Brown, Jr. of Seyfert, PA; daughter: Debra L. Brown, wife of Dennis of Exeter Twp., PA; 6 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother: Arthur S. Quinter, Jr.

A funeral service will be held be at the Dengler-Sowers Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508 on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 12:00 noon. A viewing will be held prior from 10:30am-12:00 noon. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Gibraltar.
