Franklin Russell Hartline, Jr.

Franklin Russell Hartline, Jr., 82, of Douglassville PA, passed away on December 29, 2025 at the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Pottstown, PA he was the son of the late Franklin Russell Hartline, Sr. and Sara (Nettles) Hartline. He was the husband of Diane G. (Gray) Hartline.

Frank graduated from Daniel Boone High School in 1961. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Reserves. He was a self-employed Horse Trainer working from his farm: Win-D Acres in Douglassville. Frank’s lifelong passion was Horse Racing, especially Harness Racing. He was a member of the U.S. Trotting Assoc., Standard Bred Owners Assoc. (SBOA), and Pennsylvania, Harness Horse Assoc. (PHHA). Frank loved spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Douglassville.

In addition to his wife and mother, Frank is survived by his 2 sons: Franklin R. Hartline, III, husband of Chrissy, Jacob Hartline, companion of Leah Vandervort; 4 daughters: Desenne Harris, wife of Steve, Danielle Hartline, wife of Bob Salkowski, Shasta Uhrig, wife of Dave, and Tarinda Petersen, wife of Ryan; step-children: Chad Moletress and Amanda Moletress, companion of David Tyler; brother: Richard Hartline, husband of Bonnie; sister: Kathy Clark, wife of Robert; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 12:00 noon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Rd. Douglassville, PA 19518. A visitation will be from 10:00AM-12:00 noon at the church, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at the above address.
