Grace E. (Reeves) Sackett

Grace E. (Reeves) Sackett, 81, of Exeter Twp., PA passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in LaGrange, GA, she was the daughter of the late Matthew Ambrek and the late Lucy W. (Buchanan) Ambrek. She was the wife of Rev. Dr. George C. Sackett, III.

Before retirement, Grace worked as a cashier in several community businesses, where her cheerful spirit and gentle nature made her beloved by many. She had a lifelong love of reading and animals, especially her dogs, and she poured her creativity into making sock monkeys, crocheting blankets, and knitted gifts for family and friends. She loved watching classic sci‑fi/ fantasy movies and TV from the 1950s–70s. She was known for saying “Where’s my hug?” with open arms. She was a member of Temple United Methodist Church in Unionville, PA.

In addition to her husband, George, she is survived by her son: Thomas E. Sackett, husband of Christina; adopted daughter: Diane M. Wilson; and brother: Robert Reeves. She was predeceased by her sister: Joyce.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Dengler-Sowers Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508 from 3:30pm-4:30pm. A brief funeral service will begin at 4:30pm and graveside service to follow at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Cemetery in Geigertown, PA.
