Joan E. Yocom

Joan E. Yocom, 77, of Elverson, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in her home. Born in Pottstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late F. Albert and Eleanor M. (Reightneour) Yocom.

Joan worked most of her life in sales in the freight and trucking industry. She was an avid reader, enjoyed pets and animals and loved history surrounding Gettysburg. She was a member of Temple United Methodist Church in Unionville, PA and attended NorthStar United Methodist Church in Exeter Twp., PA.

Joan is survived by her daughter: Shannon E. Rankin, wife of James of San Tan Valley, AZ; son: Ethan Y. Case, husband of Misty of Clover, SC; brother: Albert Yocom, husband of Debra of Little River, SC; sister: Beth West, wife of Kenneth of Birdsboro, PA; 3 grandchildren: RJ Thomas, Londyn and Saddie Case; 3 nephews: Brad Yocom, husband of Angelica, Daniel Yocom, Ian West, husband of Emily; and great niece: Eleanor West.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 11:00AM at the Dengler-Sowers Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC., 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berks Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd. Birdsboro, PA 19508
