Joseph W. Ziemer

Joseph W, Ziemer, 77, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in the comfort of his home. Born in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph P. and the late Margaret (Rhead) Ziemer. He was the loving husband of Christine E. (Jones) Ziemer.

Joseph served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Machine Man for Nabisco food company in Philadelphia. He was a huge Philly Sports Fan! In his younger years, Joseph could be found coaching little league baseball in Middletown Twp., PA in the Levittown area.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Nathaniel P. Ziemer, husband of Mary of Brookhaven, PA; daughter: Sabrina M. Bates, wife of Wally (Ryan) of Royersford, PA; brother: Thomas Ziemer of Yardley, PA; and 4 grandchildren: Ryan and Pearl Bates and Kaleb and Tucker Ziemer.

He was predeceased by his sisters: Marilyn Ziemer and Theresa Cusick.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Washington’s Crossing National Cemetery.
