Kerry K. Knabb, 73, of Douglassville PA, entered into eternal rest surrounded by loved ones Sunday, May 24, 2026, at University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Born with a heart full of promise in Union Twp., PA, he was the beloved son of the late Arthur S. Knabb and the late Dorothy M. (Fair) Spence. Raised with love by his Aunt Sissy (Helen) Fair.
He was the loving husband of Debra A. (Umbenhower) Knabb for nearly 47 years. Kerry's life was a testament to the power of family and friendship.
He graduated from Daniel Boone Class of 1971 as well as Votech for Auto Collision Repair. He spent his career spreading joy and fixing dreams in the automotive industry, starting with auto body repair at Bayliss Oldsmobile and rising to Manager at Piazza Honda Acura of Reading ending his career as Body Shop Manager at Bob Fisher’s.
His passions included reeling in memories fishing, cruising on his motorcycle trike, shooting pool with his friends especially his best friend, Carl and sharing laughter with all around him and playing ball with his loyal companion, Puddin’. At Christmas time Kerry looked forward to spreading cheer playing Santa Claus for those he loved. He always had a smile to share.
Kerry was a member of American Legion Post 626 and the Legion Riders, Birdsboro VFW Post 411 and Birdsboro Fire Co.
In addition to his wife, Debra, he is survived by his treasured daughter: Heather L. Ernst, wife of Shawn; 3 brothers: Floyd Knabb, husband of Sandra, Allen Knabb, husband of Paula, Eric Spence; 2 sisters: Dee Jameson, wife of George and Cay Dull; mother-in-law: Nancy Ann Bliesath. He was the proud Pop of Zander, Lexyss, Ayden and Mayci; nieces and nephews whom he adored.
He was predeceased by his brother: Robert Knabb.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the Dengler-Sowers Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. An additional viewing will be held from 10:30am-11:00am prior to the service 11:00am at the funeral home on Monday, June 1, 2026. Burial will be in Birdsboro Cemetery.
