Lawrence C. Mensch

Lawrence C. Mensch, 85, of Douglassville, Amity Twp., PA, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Manatawny Manor. Born in Quakertown, PA, he was the son of the late Elias Mensch and the late Esther E. (Christman) Mensch. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Boyer) Mensch for 56 years.

Larry was employed as a Tire Builder for the former Firestone Tire & Rubber in Pottstown, PA. He was also a truck driver for Big A and Aramark. He was a member of Monarch and Amity Fire Companies. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Penn State Nittany Lions. Larry loved bowling in his younger years. Larry was also a member of St. Paul’s U.C.C. Amityville, PA.

Surviving Larry along with his wife, Sandy, are his 2 sons: Michael Mensch, husband of Mary Kay and Edward Mensch; step-son: Thomas Orrs, husband of Amy; step-daughter: Penny Lauer, wife of Steven; sister: Mary Friele; and 8 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son: Lawrence C. Mensch, Jr.; step-son: Allen Orrs; and 11 siblings.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:00am at the Dengler-Sowers Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A viewing will be from 10:00am-11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Amityville.
