Loretta M. (Bleacher) Brown

Loretta M. (Bleacher) Brown, 86, of Robeson Twp., PA, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Complete Care at Berkshire. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Oliver “Slim” E. and the late Kathryn D. (Messner) Bleacher. She was the widow of Robert S. Brown who passed on April 16, 2026.

Loretta graduated from Exeter Twp. High School, Class of 1958. She worked most of her life as an administrative assistant for Reading Bone Fertilizer for 25yrs. and later for Agway and TMAC. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and cooking. She was a member of St. John’s U.C.C. in Gibraltar, where she also taught Sunday School for 40 years.

Loretta is survived by her 2 sons: Jeffrey S. Brown, husband of Sheri; Douglas R. Brown husband of Kathleen; 2 brothers: Steve and Kurt Bleacher; 4 grandchildren: Marguerite, Owen, Garrett and Josie; and 2 great-grandchildren: Chase & Emma.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026 at 12:00 noon at St. John’s U.C.C. 57 St. John’s Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508. A viewing will be from 11:00am-12:00 noon prior to the service. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
