Mary E. (Hill) Smith

Mary E. (Hill) Smith, 80, of Robeson Twp., PA, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at home. Born in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and the late Virginia (Fritz) Hill. She was the wife of Raymond S. Smith; they were married for 60 years.

Mary worked many years alongside her husband, Ray, owning their family business, Spring Garden Farms, in Robeson Twp. She enjoyed reading, word searches, her cats, sea shelling in the Outer Banks, and was a Phillies and Eagles fan. She worked at Flying Hills Preschool in the mid 80s. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Ray, she is survived by her sons: Brian M. Smith, husband of Susan; and Dr. Christopher M. Smith, husband of Michelle; and brother: Robert H. Hill, Jr.

She was predeceased by her son: Mark A. Smith; and her sister: Marilyn Templin.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday evening, July 9, 2026 at 7:00pm at the Dengler-Sowers Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A viewing will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm prior to the service on Thursday evening. Burial will be held in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton, PA on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 12:30pm.
