Miriam E. (Mohr) Bayliss

Miriam E. (Mohr) Bayliss, 75, of Exeter Twp., PA, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Penn State Health St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Kingston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter H.R. and the late Mary (Whitby) Mohr. She was the widow of Richard R. Bayliss, who passed in January.

Miriam received her bachelor’s degree from Wilkes University and later received a master’s degree from Arcadia University. Miriam was an Art Teacher for Centennial and Exeter Twp. School Districts for 35 years. She loved arts, especially needlepoint, painting, and crocheting. She was a member of Therapy Dog, Inc. and volunteering with the Women’s Club of Exeter Twp.

She enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, cooking, and getting her nails and hair done. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dog: Mister Finn. You could find Miriam relaxing by her pool and spending time at her condo in Florida.

Miriam had a heart of gold- always thinking of others and loved to entertain.

Surviving Miriam is her son: Jonathan Deem, husband of Heather of Birdsboro, PA; daughter: Erin Yanoski, wife of Rich of Mechanicsburg, PA; sister: Merilee Twardowski, wife of Thomas; and 4 grandchildren: Chance and Maycee Yanoski and Owen and Myles Deem.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
