Born and raised in Philadelphia, Myrtle graduated from Germantown High School where she excelled at gymnastics. She then met her future husband, Rev. Richard Krapf, at All Saints Lutheran Church. Life as a devoted pastor’s wife ultimately led to Birdsboro by way of Kennett Square, Sinking Spring, and Oley, PA. Last a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Birdsboro, PA, Myrtle led a life in service to God and was very active with different organizations in every church of which she was member, as well as Cub Scouts and PTA.
Myrtle spent many years as an Educational Aide at Oley Valley Elementary School. She enjoyed using those skills to great effect when spending time with her grandchildren, which was her favorite pastime. She also found joy and satisfaction in crafting, cake decorating, word puzzles, and playing games. She enjoyed sharing laughter while surrounded by friends and family. To the end, she remained selfless, caring about others before herself.
Surviving Myrtle are her two sons: William J. Krapf, of Wilmington, DE, with his partner Jennifer, and James R. Krapf, of Pittsford, NY, with his wife Lindee; two sisters: Carol Dalske of Philadelphia, PA and Joyce Bresnahan of Manlius, NY; and four grandchildren: Jonathan, Joshua, Katelynn, and Connor Krapf.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Myrtle (Huffnagle) Dunn, two brothers, William and Charles Dunn, and her beloved husband Rev. Richard L. Krapf.
