Nancy F. (Bitler) Faetche

Nancy Fern (Diefenderfer) Faetche, 88, of Gibraltar, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in the comfort of the home that she was born in. She was the daughter of the late Charles D. and the late Mary M. (Bitler) Diefenderfer. She was the widow of James E. Faetche, who passed away in 2015.

Nancy spent most of her life as a homemaker and worked part-time in the cafeteria at Robeson Elementary and worked in the payroll department at Textile Machine Works in Wyomissing. Nancy was a graduate from Mt. Penn High school class of 1954. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, birds, cats, and playing the piano. Nancy was a big Philly sports fan! You could also find Nancy working at the Voting Polls. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Gibraltar, PA.

Surviving Nancy, is her daughter: Susan D. Stoltzfus; 2 grandchildren, Rachel E. Staudenmayer wife of Eric and Jeremy D. Stoltzfus and 2 great grandchildren: Adalyn P. Staudenmayer and Leo Joseph Staudenmayer.

She was predeceased by her son: Dale E. Faetche and daughter: Jill Anne Faetche.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 11:00AM at the Dengler-Sowers Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC, 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A viewing will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM before the service. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Gibraltar, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berks Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd. Birdsboro, PA 19508.
