Robert J. Yarmush

Robert G. Yarmush, 81, of Douglassville, Union Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026 in his home. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was the son of the late Sigmund and the late Gertrude (Janderchick) Yarmush. He was the widower of Nancy E. Yarmush who passed in April of 2025.

Robert worked as a Tire Builder and Union Rep. for Firestone Tire & Rubber in Pottstown, PA. After Firestone, Robert was a truck driver for Universal Machine in Stowe, PA until retirement.

In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and captaining his boast. Robert was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Robert is survived by his children: Nadine M. Clark (Michael), Robert J. Yarmush (Teri), and Christine Mell; stepchildren: Tracy Carmer (predeceased by her spouse, George), Scott Ruth, Wilson Ruth (Kristy), and Dean Ruth (Angie); his brother: James Yarmush; grandchildren, Derek Yarmush (Kristen), Kyle Yarmush, Alec Mell and Casey Mell; step-grandchildren: Melissa Osmun, Stephanie Herr (Daniel), Ashley Brunner (Michael), George Carmer IV (Jessica), Kimberly Carmer, Jordan and Zachary Ruth, Kammie Harris (Richard), and Kestler Ruth (Hannah), Fallon Waldrop (Jonathan), Tyler Ruth, and Madison Ruth; and 20 great grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of Robert’s family.
