Shawn J. Lau

Shawn J. Lau, 62, of Douglassville, PA passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026 peacefully in his home. Born in York, PA, he was the son of Peter J. Lau and Patty L. (Williams) Spencer. He was the husband of Penny (Gilbert) Lau.

Shawn spent most of his life as an attorney for Lau & Associates, P.C. in Jacksonwald, PA. He was a member of the PA Bar Association, the Berks County Bar Association, the NJ Bar Association, and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Douglassville. Shawn enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, hiking, camping, golfing, and coin collecting.

In addition to his wife and parents, Shawn is survived by his daughter: Rachel E. Lau Trinovitch, wife of Nicholas; son: David Lau; brother: Jason Lau; sister: Sydna Kelley; a large extended family; many friends; and his beloved cats.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, July 29th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Dengler-Sowers Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30th at 10:30am at the funeral. The family will have a private burial.
