Tara A. (Schwager) High

Tara A. (Schwager) High, 48, of Exeter Twp., PA, passed away on August 24, 2026 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Allentown, PA she was the daughter of Charles A. Schwager, Jr. and Isabel M. (Carmean) Schwager. She was the widow of Cpl. Christopher J. High who passed in March of this year.

Tara’s passion was exercising. She was a Zumba Instructor around various gyms in the area. She enjoyed hiking, spending time at her campsite in Delaware, getting tattoos and loved every minute with her children. She was fun spirited and loved life to the fullest.

In addition to her parents, Tara is survived by her 3 sons: Ishmael L. High, Bentley T. High, and Michael S. Shaw; 2 daughters: Nadia M. High and Lillian A. High; 2 brothers: Greg and Raymond Yost; and 4 sisters: Tammy Erb, Heather Erb, Wendy Yost, and Gail Schwager.

She was predeceased by her sister: Beth Colter.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 6:00pm-7:00pm at the Dengler-Sowers Funeral Home & Crematory, LLC. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm following the viewing. Burial in Birdsboro Cemetery will be held at a later date.
